A Faust We Can Believe In
From Faust
Tallahassee--Undaunted by a gubernatorial campaign in 2002 where he only received 23 write-in votes, Mickee Faust, the ratty twin of another famous Florida rodent, is again declaring, “Vote Vermin!” with a fall cabaret show, “A Faust You Can Believe In”. The performance dates are October 3-4, 10-11 and 17-18 at 8pm at the Mickee Faust Clubhouse, 623 McDonnell Drive in Railroad Square.
“I may not be on the ballot,” notes Faust, the alter ego of performer Terry Galloway. “But I know what the people want! They want a real rat! A rat who knows what it means to seek out a living while watching some cartoon character get millions and a Magic Kingdom ! It’s time for change. Real change. Like dimes and quarters. Something most of us are more familiar with than a wad of 7-billion Ben Franklins!”
In anticipation of the rush to see this bright light on the theatrical political horizon, the Faustkateers have set up a site for limited online ADVANCED ticket sales. Tickets are $15 general admission; $10 for seniors, students and persons with disabilities. There will be tickets for sale at the door the night of the shows beginning at 6:30pm. And fans are welcome to hang out in the back yard listening to the musical entertainment. Opening weekend will feature jazz with the Dorian Q, and the following two weekends will have entertainment by the Faust house folk band, Eclectic Acoustic.
Don’t miss this opportunity to laugh out loud at the outlandish and envelope-pushing antics of Tallahassee ’s homegrown cabaret company. For more information, check out the website www.mickeefaust.com or call the Faust Fan hotline: (850) 562-RATS (7287).
